IoT Door Controller
LinkSense
Put any door, gate or barrier online.
A compact controller that connects existing maglocks, gate motors and barriers to the Sixsense cloud over Wi-Fi or 4G, and opens them from a phone over Bluetooth, even when the network is down.
Part of Access Control

Key Features
What LinkSense does
-
01

Three ways to connect
BLE 5.0 for phone unlock, Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz for daily reporting, and LTE Cat-1 fallback where there is no Wi-Fi.
-
02

Opens without the internet
Credentials are cached on the controller, so residents can still open doors over Bluetooth during a network outage.
-
03

Retrofits existing hardware
Two dry-contact relays drive maglocks, electric strikes, gate motors and car park barriers without replacing them.
-
04

Reader inputs included
Connect a face terminal, QR reader or card reader over Wiegand or RS485 and manage all of them from one portal.
-
05

Remote health checks
See link status, signal, voltage and relay cycle counts, and receive alerts before a failing lock causes complaints.
-
06

Over-the-air updates
Firmware updates are signed and staged, with automatic rollback if the controller fails to report after restart.

FAQ
Common questions
Do we need to run network cable to each door?
No. The controller reports over Wi-Fi or LTE Cat-1, so only a 12 or 24 V DC supply is needed at the door.
What happens during a power cut?
Lock behaviour follows your fail-safe or fail-secure wiring. We recommend a 12 V backup battery sized for at least four hours of operation.
Can residents open doors if the site network is down?
Yes. Bluetooth unlock is checked against the controller’s local cache, and events are uploaded once Wi-Fi or LTE is back.
Who provides the SIM card?
We can supply a managed data SIM, or you can use your own nano-SIM from a Singapore operator. Typical usage is under 50 MB a month.
